This store has improved greatly staff wise over the past couple months!
Really nice location as far as atmosphere goes. The employees did a great job making the food. Only disappointing thing was that the employees seem to be messing around/more interested in talking with each other than assisting customers. They actually turned customers away when they got a large online order while I was there, which I thought was a bit odd given there were three of them there and the lady only wanted one sandwich.
I had been hesitant to go to this Subway ( or any Subway in Newark) because of bad reviews. But, I love Subway, so here we go. When I walked in the door the girls were very busy stocking chips and meats and such. I was looking at the menu board, so I stayed out of their way. As soon as I knew what I wanted, one of them approached me and pleasantly took my order. Watching them prepare my sub was awesome, the care they took, from building the foundation of the sandwich to adding the perfect amount of veggies. Exactly what I ask for! Also, got some macadamia nut cookies, YUM The establishment is as clean and the atmosphere pleasant. The only thing I wish was better was the toasting of my sandwich could have been longer, but, personal preference. Will definitely be back and urged you to go if you want a good sub!
The staff was on point for sure!!! My food was fresh and delicious!!! The only complaint I had was the 3 construction workers that were very vulgar and rude!!!
Subway is fairly consistent with food across the country this location was no exception everything was good, tasted fresh and the sandwiches were prepared the way we ordered them. Side note I applaud the two young men that stayed working tonight after 3 employees decided to walk out. Neither of them were incredibly experienced yet they provided good friendly customer service and still made the food with care.
